In partnership with Parents of African American Students in Novi, Novi Community School District and Novi Educational Foundation as we celebrate Black History Month. Copies of the book All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely will be available for check out through February 2018. Read the book and join students and community members for a thoughtful discussion on Tuesday, February 27th at 6pm. School Library Journal says, “All American Boys is timely and powerful, this novel promises to have an impact long after the pages stop turning.”

Jim Farkas with more than 45 years of photographic experience has been conducting digital photography workshops for the past three years.  This advanced photography camera club will meet once a month at the Library to discuss photographic techniques and critique member’s photography as well as plan outside location photo shoots during the month.  If you are looking to pick up your camera and engage the creative side of your brain, then this is the camera club for you!

Read 60 Minutes…Celebrate 60 Years

The National Library Week celebration will mark the 60th anniversary of the first library event, sponsored in 1958. Join the library and Novi’s Lucky Strike on Saturday, April 14 from 11am-2pm for a day filled with games, crafts, virtual reality (virtual reality is for ages 12+) and more! Read 60 minutes during spring break and turn in your reading sheet to the library by April 9 to earn your pass to the party.
