Jim Farkas with more than 45 years of photographic experience has been conducting digital photography workshops for the past three years.  This advanced photography camera club will meet once a month at the Library to discuss photographic techniques and critique member’s photography as well as plan outside location photo shoots during the month.  If you are looking to pick up your camera and engage the creative side of your brain, then this is the camera club for you!

DIA Away: Think Like an Artist

DIA Away: Think Like an Artist, is a free, mobile interactive classroom for students and a creative exploration space for people of all ages, presented by the Detroit Institute of Arts. DIA Away is a fully furnished, vibrantly designed 53’ double- expandable trailer that will provide a rich educational program beyond the museum’s walls. Inside, participants will discover some of the ways artists think and then have the opportunity to try out creative thinking skills at digital and hands-on stations.

Summer Music on the Patio Series

June 28 - Bring the family for a fun evening on the patio with jazz from The Cliff Monear Jazz Group featuring Kelly Broadway from Toledo. Bottled water, lemonade, and chips provided.

July 26 - Enjoy the exciting performance from the Blue Cat Band. Free ice cream treats provided.

Aug 9 - Back to wow us once again, outstanding singer and entertainer Nicole New and accompanist.

Michigan Blood Summer Step-Up Program

Michigan Blood is an independent, nonprofit blood bank that provides blood for more than 70 hospitals throughout Michigan and is the primary provider of blood products for all Beaumont Hospitals and Henry Ford Health Systems. Michigan Blood’s voluntary blood donations and products stay in the state of Michigan to support local hospitals and patients. For each donor, Michigan Blood will donate $10 to the Novi Public Library to be used for future programming. Register at miblood.org or stop into the Library.
