Build a Better World with the Novi Library! All tweens in grades 4-6 are encouraged to join the Summer Reading Program! Attend free and exciting programs, enjoy some great reads and win some cool prizes this summer. Sign up online or come into the Library where we will be on hand to assist you with the registration process.

Wacky Science with Doug Scheer
Doug Scheer is back with his fantastic show sure to entertain and delight!
Summer Carnival Extravaganza at Fuerst Park
In partnership with Novi Parks and Recreation join us as we celebrate the beginning of summer at our fabulous carnival at Fuerst Park. Enjoy face painting, carnival games, a petting farm, pony rides, and a bounce house. Food will be available for purchase from Nosh Pit Food Truck.
Summer Plate Days
The time-honored Novi Library tradition Design-A-Plate Day is now being held in the summer. Design a keepsake plate that makes a perfect present for loved ones or a way to capture your children's artistic talent at every age. Special paper and markers will be provided. The cost is $8.00 per plate which is payable by cash or check. Plates will be available for pick-up in late September.
COMIC ART CAMP
Create a Comic Strip
Have fun learning the basics of developing characters, creating dialog, sequencing your story, as well as penciling and inking your own comic strip.

Explore the basics of using Graphic Tablets to power up your comic art.
Alex Thomas and Friends Interactive Puppet Show
Enjoy jokes and stories and all around fun through the art of puppetry. Audience participation is encouraged with a meet and greet session at the end.
Design your own T-shirt! Bring a pre-washed, 100% cotton T-shirt to the Library.
Mad Science of Detroit – Up, Up, and Away!
This spellbinding special event introduces children to the principles of air and pressure. Hot air balloons, vortex generators and even a hovercraft will help children understand the power of air.
Grades: All Ages
Participate in fun, engaging activities that explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.
Tween SRP Read-a-thon
Ready to have some fun while you rack up reading minutes toward the Summer Reading Program? Bring your books and join us for a 3 hour reading marathon with breaks for snacks, games, and prizes! Feel free to bring along pillows and blankets to get comfy!
Rock Wall Climbing Adventure
Join us for the ultimate rock wall climbing adventure! Event will be held outside near Fuerst Park. You must wear tennis shoes (no flip flops allowed) to participate.
Baffling Bill Build a Better World Magic Show
Amazing magic, audience participation and a visit from "Gus the Bunny." You don't want to miss this!

Summer Reading Finale: Paradise Park
Complete the Summer Reading Program and celebrate at Paradise Park. Thanks to our friends at Paradise Park you can enjoy free outdoor games, laser tag, and food. To be eligible to attend you must complete the summer reading program. Please call the Library to register for either Monday or Tuesday.
