Raising a Reader – 1000 Books before Kindergarten
The Novi Public Library and the Novi Community School District are partnering in a year round preschool reading initiative supporting parents and caregivers in the goal of reading 1,000 books with their children before they enter kindergarten. It is never too early to begin developing enjoyable reading experiences with children and contribute toward their readiness to learn to read when they enter school. Summer is a great time to begin or continue reading toward the goal of 1,000 books! Thank you to the Friends of the Novi Library, Vibe Credit Union, Novi Rotary, and Novi Community School District for sponsoring this program!

Maybury Farm Story Time

Young children will enjoy a story time followed by a farm-themed activity including music, art, games and small group interaction with one of our young farm animals. Story time is free with admission to the Farm which includes a self-guided tour of over 70 farm animals, U-pick farm garden, play-ground and picnic area. Farm admission is $3.00 per person and children 2 and under are free. Additional story times are available every Wednesday and Thursday from June – September.
