Dog Days at the Library

Read to a dog! Children are encouraged to practice their reading skills with a very patient listener; a therapy dog. Feel free to drop in anytime between 6:30-7:30 to read to one of our wonderful library dogs!

MSU Tollgate Farm Children’s Garden Story Hour

Preschoolers ages 2-5 will enjoy a story time and participate in engaging activities; such as process based art, moving to music, or a game. Children will have the opportunity to visit and observe the animals in their farm habitat. Please pre-register for the event by visiting http://tollgate.msu.edu/. September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! Visit the library between September 1st and 30th to sign-up for a library card to obtain access to our diverse collection. We’re offering extra incentives during the month for grades K-12. Each time your library card is used during September you have the chance to enter a raffle for a gift card. MSU Tollgate Farm Pumpkinfest

MSU Tollgate Farm and Education Center once again hosts the annual Pumpkinfest sponsored by VIBE Credit Union on October 7th and 8th, 11 am – 5 pm. The Novi Public Library will host face-painting and a scavenger hunt at this year’s special family event which features fun and frolic for all ages. Take a wagon ride to the patch to pick your perfect pumpkin. Games, live animals, food, s’mores, living history exhibits, children’s straw maze and more make for a great fall outing. Entry, entertainment, and children’s play area are free of charge. Fees apply for pumpkins, food, select children’s activities, and parking. Come join the fall festivities!

Day of the Dead Mask Making
