Kiddie Crafts

Use your imagination and creativity to make a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Toddlers and preschoolers will have the opportunity to create a work of art using their imaginations and the supplies that we will provide. Each child must be accompanied by an adult helper, and we may get messy so please dress accordingly.

Dog Days at the Library

Read to a dog! Children are encouraged to practice their reading skills with a very patient listener; a therapy dog. Please call the Library to schedule a 15 minute appointment between 6:30pm and 8:00pm**

Build a Better World Novi Public Library Summer Reading Program

Our Summer Reading Program begins on Monday, May 15, and continues until Saturday, August 5. You will be able to go online or come into the Library to sign up. Teen volunteers will be on hand to assist you with the registration process. “Build a Better World” summer reading program is for children going into grades K-4. Additional information may be found in the Summer Reading Program brochures distributed in the schools in May, on our website novilibrary.org, and at the Library.

STEAM Saturday

Summer Carnival Extravaganza at Fuerst Park

In partnership with Novi Parks and Recreation join us as we celebrate the beginning of summer at our fabulous carnival at Fuerst Park. Enjoy face painting, carnival games, a petting farm, pony rides, and a bounce house. Food will be available for purchase from Nosh Pit Food Truck.

Design-A-Plate Day

The time-honored Novi Library tradition Design-A-Plate Day is now being held in the summer. Design a keepsake plate that makes a perfect present for loved ones or a way to capture your children’s artistic talent at every age. Special paper and markers will be provided. The cost is $8.00 per plate which is payable by cash or check. Plates will be available for pick-up in late September.

Alex Thomas and Friends Interactive Puppet Show

MSU Tollgate Farm Children’s Garden Story Hour

Preschoolers ages 2-5 will enjoy a story time and participate in engaging activities; such as process based art, moving to music, or a game. Pizza Time with Tony Sacco’s

Put on that Chef’s hat and get ready to spin some pizza dough with Tony Sacco’s Coal Oven Pizza of Novi. We will hear stories about pizza, learn how to spin dough from a Pizza Chef, earn our own Chef’s hat, and enjoy a slice of pizza.

Great American Solar Eclipse

For the first time in nearly four decades a total solar eclipse will be visible from the continental United States. Although Michigan is not in the path of totality, a partial eclipse will be visible. Since viewing glasses are necessary to safely view this astronomical event we will be live streaming the eclipse on our big screen. No glasses needed!
