What's New

Summer Library Closings:  Fri, 8/16 (Staff Training), Sat, 8/31 - Mon, 9/2

iCube MakerspaceLibraries are known places of learning, exploration, creativity, accessibility and sharing, as demonstrated in our motto of Inform. Inspire. Include = i³ or i-cubed. In this fun, new space, visitors are encouraged to play, explore and try a variety of equipment and resources.

Participate in our Adult Battle of the Books program on Friday, 9/27 at 6:30pm. Check out the registration form for more information.

The café will continue to be closed for repairs, updates and cleaning through August.
At this time, the Library Board is considering a new tenant option. Don’t worry! There are plans to continue café services at NPL in the near future. We thank you for your patience!

Thanks to a wonderful suggestion by library guest, Nicole Khemis, we have added two stand-up work stations on the 2nd floor.
These are flexible work areas designed to help those who need a break from sitting too long.  A height adjustable work surface and anti-fatigue mat are provided.

Did you know you can Book a Librarian to help you with our business databases?  Email the Business Librarian to make an appointment.
If you would like one-on-one business research assistance, fill out a form at the second floor information desk or email the Business Librarian to make an appointment.

Take our short survey to let us know how you use the library as a work space and how we can make that experience even better for you. Click here for survey.

The Library of Michigan has awarded NPL a certificate of completion for meeting the Excellent Level of the Quality Services Audit Checklist (QSAC)! Out of over 400 public libraries in Michigan, the Novi Library is the only library in Michigan to receive this certification!  More information.
To earn this certification the Library demonstrated superior service to its patrons and community in a cost-effective manner, with a can-do attitude, and by always delivering on promises.

With three levels of achievement such as Essential, Enhanced and Excellence offered by QSAC, NPL has officially reached all three levels! Huge thank you to Jessica Schenk Librarian, for working on this project this year!
