Summer Reading Program
Welcome to the Novi Library’s 2023 Summer Reading Challenge!
The Summer Reading Challenge begins on Monday, June 5th through Saturday, August 12th. This year’s theme is “All Together Now” and participants of all ages can sign up and enjoy a number of events and activities during the summer.

Log your books using Beanstack. If you have never used Beanstack or need a refresher, use this how-to guide.
Read from June 5th to August 12th. Books, e-books, audiobooks, e-audiobooks, graphic novels, large print, magazines, newspapers, and any reading materials all qualify!

If you complete the Summer Reading Challenge by reaching your reading goals, you will earn the prizes below. Prizes can be picked up starting July 10 through September 10.

Bonus Prize:
Receive a “Read and Win” prize which includes one free fair-only entry pass* to Literacy Day at the Michigan State Fair on Sunday, September 3!
*750 passes available, on a first-come, first -serve basis, for readers in Grades K-12 who complete the Summer Reading Challenge.
Four lucky winners will win an Ultimate Wristband to the Michigan State Fair. This includes fair entry, unlimited carnival rides, and circus performances.
WEEKLY RAFFLES!
All ages are encouraged to visit the Library to enter for a chance to win fun prizes in our weekly raffles!
HALFWAY THROUGH SUMMER READING!
All ages, one week only! Stop in between July 10 through July 16 to get a special prize to celebrate the halfway point of Summer Reading!
SUMMER READING FINALES!
Grades Birth-PreK
Did your child complete the Birth-Pre-K Summer Reading Program? Join us on the patio for popsicles and fun outdoor activities to celebrate! Dress for a little mess.
Wednesday, August 16 from 6-7:30pm

Grades K-12
Did your child complete the K-12 Summer Reading Program? Join us at Paradise Park, an amusement park located at 45799 Grand River Ave. Readers get to enjoy a wide range of attractions such as go-karts, mini-golf, laser tag, and more! Readers can also enjoy cookies, lemonade, and water in the pavilion.
Grades K-6: Monday, August 28 from 7-9pm
Grades 7-12: Tuesday, August 29 from 7-9pm

Things to know about your visit at Paradise Park:
- Arcade games are not included
- Readers must be over 56 inches tall in order to drive the go-karts by themselves; no double rider go-karts will be available
- Parking available in Paradise Park lot only. Cars parked in other business lots will be towed.
- Available for purchase:
- 2 slices of cheese pizza: $5
- Sibling wristband: $29
- Wristband and food package: $33
