Books
The Novi Public Library has books in over 14 different languages. These books can be checked out for 3 weeks and are available for holds and library interloans. They are not available via MeL. For more details about our international books see below. You can request books in different languages but please be aware it is extremely difficult to procure books in other languages. Thank you.
Our Youth International Collection features Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tamil and Telugu. Please check out our Miscellaneous Language section at the end for a smaller selection of 3-4 books in various other languages.
ADULT & TEEN INTERNATIONAL COLLECTION: 2ND FLOOR
Our Adult and Teen Collection features a variety of books in Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Marathi, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Spanish, Tamil, and Telugu. English language learning books are also available in certain languages as well.
Magazines and Newspapers
The Novi Public Library subscribes to a variety of International magazines and newspapers. They can be found on the first floor. Please be aware that some of our publications are sent in batches directly from the country of origin and may be received months after the publication date. We appreciate your patience.

International Films
The Novi Public Library offers international films and TV series in over 40 languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Korean, etc. This collection is available on DVD and Blu-Ray. Adjacent to this collection is our Japanese Anime Collection. Featuring classic films such as My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Castle in The Sky as well as current films such as Suzume, Your Name, Weathering with You. Anime
Anime is a term used to define a style of animation in Japan that is often characterized by stark colorful graphics depicting vibrant characters in action-filled plots often with fantastic or futuristic themes. It is aimed at children and adults. The Novi Public Library has a collection of DVD and Bluray anime discs that checkout for one week.
